A Pest-Predator System with Additional Prey for Predators

The importance of understanding the role of additional food as a tool in biological control programs is growing day by day. A rigorous mathematical research in this area demonstrated the important role of quantity and quality of additional food in predator-prey system controllability. In this article, we examined the spatial dynamics of a pest-predator system with the fear of growth of pest and for the predator’s additional food. Before establishing the Turing instability condition, which is responsible for Turing patterns, we first investigated the model stability near the coexistence point of equilibrium. Then, we established the amplitude equation by using analysis of multiple scale at threshold value. Numerical simulations are presented at the end for validating analytical results. Some intriguing patterns reveal the spatial dynamical complexity of the pest-predator system.
